Physics Tutoring review by Henry in Kirkland, WA
We reviewed properties of sound waves in preparation for the student's quiz tomorrow. We also reviewed one-dimensional kinematics, which previously challenged him. He has significantly improved and is now comfortable applying the kinematics formulas. We also reviewed some techniques for solving polynomials in preparation for the algebra midterm next week.

Physics Tutoring review by Samuel in Kirkland, WA
We did a few math problems dealing with proportional equations. He fully understand them now. We also worked on physics problems dealing with pendulums, waves, sound, light and color. He did very well on these problems. I think once we review conservation of momentum and energy and dimensional analysis again he will be fully ready for his midterm.

We covered fluid dynamics including pressure, density, Archimedes' principle and Bernoulli's equation. I explained the equations and we worked on problems from the student's class and practice test questions. She understood how to use the equations quickly. I did not leave her any specific problems for extra practice but I pointed out the problems in the end of the chapter for extra practice.

Physics Tutoring review by Andrew in Kirkland, WA
For the session, we were looking at kinetic energy and force problems. A majority of the questions that the student solved were a determination of the mass of an object given the situation and use the correct equations or find the total force that is taking place in the situation. The student excels at the logic and reasoning for these types of problems. He should do very well the final.

As it was our first session, we spent time going over all the class materials and notes she had. We spent this session discussing the topics covered in class, to make sure that she understands the concepts clearly. We covered SI units, speed, velocity, scalar sums, vectors, acceleration and Newton's first law of motion.
