How can a Physical Chemistry tutor help you?

Physical chemistry, at its core, is the study of the molecular and atomic nature of matter. While that sounds fairly uncomplicated, the particulars can get complex fairly quickly. You might be delving into atomic theory, the physical properties of matter, acids and bases, the electronic structure of atoms and molecules, and a whole host of other topics. Each will require intense concentration and in-depth study. Going it alone can be difficult, but Varsity Tutors can find you a physical chemistry tutor in Silicon Valley, CA, who will understand your needs and offer positive reinforcement to try to make the learning process easier.

That positive reinforcement can come in a number of forms, including the pleasure of selecting what you study and how long you study it for. Learning the Boltzmann Average or the heat capacity of solids is a lot more enjoyable when you aren't being rushed along so as to keep pace with a class. In one-to-one tutoring, you can take as long as you like with each topic. That means asking all the questions you feel like asking, and getting immediate answers delivered on the spot. If that sounds helpful, you can easily connect with a qualified physical chemistry tutor in Silicon Valley by contacting one of our educational directors.

Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Roald in Silicon Valley, CA
The student and I reviewed more of the problem set from last time. We wrapped up the first worksheet with a problem on osmotic pressure, then reviewed a problem we had been unable to solve last time. After that, we worked on a problem involving mean activity coefficients. He seemed to understand most of the theory, and had notes on many of the equations, but was still not very familiar with the definitions of the variables on the equation worksheet he had from class. We agreed to work on finishing the worksheets on Saturday.

Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Paris in Silicon Valley, CA
With the student, we worked on his homework assignments concerning the Clausis-Clapeyron equation as well as applying and deriving equations for a van der Waals gas. He has some difficulties in knowing what equation to use for each of the problems, but that can be better solved by completing homework problems on his study time and furthering his problem-solving abilities.

The student and I reviewed material from her study guide to prepare for her test tomorrow, which included many concepts, all of which related to DNA. She was diligent throughout and did take notes. She was able to answer my review questions at the very end, and I feel she will do well on her exam. We concluded with a few test taking tips for multiple choice questions.
