Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Darius in Quincy, MA
The student and I went over chapters 1 and 2 of the organic chemistry textbook. I am assigning him ~30 problems from these two chapters. We decided that one session per week will cover organic chemistry, and the other physics.

Today the student and I spend about an hour and a half on stereochemistry. We did a lot of practice with assigning 'R' and 'S' to stereocenters, which helps a lot in determining if two structures are enantiomers/diastereomers. We spent the remainder of our time going over reactions and acidity.

During this session, the student and I went over remaining questions she had about organic chemistry concepts before her final exam. She had been given a list of topics from her instructor, so we went over concepts she did not fully understand, as well as various homework and test problems that had been harder to work on. We practiced several Fischer projection problems as well. I recommended that she specifically study what kind of reagents to use for given products.

Today we had a long review session cementing all of the concepts so far. Afterwards we moved into new material, talking about formal charge. Today, the student had a great success that I had to highlight for her. When she was applying the concepts of IMF's to a boiling point question, her level of scientific language was superb. All in all it was a great session.

Physical Chemistry Tutoring review by Zachary in Quincy, MA
For our first meeting, the student and I went over wind and how it impacts climate. We discussed how the Coriolis effect and convection cause winds to undergo certain patterns. We read the lesson for his next class titled "Climate: Human Impacts on the Environment." We answered the discussion questions at the end of the chapter and I quizzed him on the vocabulary terms. We ended our session with him asking me questions that he had from his previous subjects. He will inform me what he is learning in his science class before our next session. I look forward to helping him become more advanced in science.
