Today, I introduced the student to the gas laws, and guided him through several gas law problems. Microbiology Tutoring review by Johnathan in Duluth, GA
The student and I began our session introducing ourselves to one another. Our session revolved primarily around his current homework involving stoichiometry and limiting reagents. He was a little confused at times, but was receptive to advice and easily taught. I tried to get him to think critically about what was physically happening within the chemical reactions. This did seem to help him comprehend the problem without resorting to his teachers notes. After we finished the homework, I received his prior tests to help me prepare for his finals. Finally, I told him what problems needed to be done to prepare for his next test.

Microbiology Tutoring review by Keith in Duluth, GA
The student has a test and a final in the next week. He is close to an A and wanted to make sure that he improved his score. He demonstrated a good understanding of calculating molarity, balancing reactions and using the balanced equation to work a titration and back titration problem. He works quickly in his head and does not write his work down. He needs to slow down a bit and write the steps down so that he can easily check for errors. We talked about solubility and intermolecular forces, and how to predict boiling points and melting points.
