We also went over finding the inverse of a 2x2 and 3x3 matrix by hand and by using the calculator. Lastly, we went over using matrices to solve a system of equations.

Today the student and I looked at some grammar practice exercises on dangling modifiers, double negatives and comparatives/superlatives. We then looked at graphs of trig functions, such as sine and cosine. He had a little trouble with those, but with practice he got the hang of them by the end of our session.

We prepped the student to retake his last quiz where he received a 40%. We reviewed the different methods to solve two variable equations. We talked about some basic test taking techniques (always checking your work, plugging your answers back into the original equation, redo your work if the answer is an unusual fraction). He then retook the quiz and got an 89%.
