We covered congruent angle rules so that we could progress through homework sheets, and the student did complete one of two homework sheets. For next week, we will do an extra session to review the other hw sheet, as well as make headway into an old concept mastery test so we can cover lost ground.

LSAT Tutoring review by John in San Ramon, CA
Today the student and I began by working on stereochemistry. We worked extensively on using the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog system used to determine the orientation of chiral molecules. We then worked on general chemistry. We began with an overview of some of the basics of general chemistry such as atomic structure, electron configuration, and orbital filling. We answered some questions on these topics, then moved on to see how these concepts manifest into trends on the periodic table of elements.

We went over the science she had as homework, and she improved from 13 to 20 on that section from our first session. We started on the reading portion with strategies and practice, and we'll finish it up next week. She is starting to admit that she *loves* the ACT!

LSAT Tutoring review by Jennifer in San Ramon, CA
The student worked on mastering her fours and five multiplication tables. She tried testing out but still needs to practice more. I asked her to practice so that she can test out of her four and fives the next time I see her. We also reviewed what a summary is and she read a couple of pages on her own and gave me a summary of what she read.

LSAT Tutoring review by Carl in San Ramon, CA
The first topic we covered was Reading Comprehension, discussing how to best read the passage, the amount of time it should take, and how to selectively re-read the passage to answer the questions. Once again, we found that the student's rushing through the material because of the time pressure, and that if he slows down, he's got a much higher accuracy rate. We moved on to discussing some of the questions in the Logical Reasoning, where similar issues persist. In general, he's got to force himself to not dwell on the time limit, as every second he spends thinking about the timing is a second he's not thinking about the material in front of him. He's going to continue working independently and may add additional tutoring hours later.
