She has shown significant progress in speed and accuracy and she is well on her way to tackling some advanced logic games, which will be the focus for the next session.

We started working on the student's logic games timing. I timed her for individual games giving her as much time as she would have per game on the test. Then we reviewed the answers together. For homework, the student will take three practice tests and adhere to the time constraints.

LSAT Tutoring review by Vipinjeet in Hollywood, CA
We discussed Redox. We began by reviewing Formal Charge and comparing it to the Oxidation State. We used some example molecules to apply my "electron robbery" metaphor and showed how it parallels the rule-based version. We reviewed how to determine that redox is happening via a problem. We then forayed into bioredox, showing how the flavins oxidize the carbon backbone and how the ETC is a series of successive redox reactions. We then discussed Electrochem, revitalizing his knowledge of Voltage. He is doing well on the theory and is still a little shaky on the math, but he is eager to cut his teeth on more problems to improve. Next up, Circuits for Wednesday.
