In our first session together, the student and I reviewed enzymes in general, as well as enzyme kinetics. We reviewed Michalis mention kinetics, allosteric regulation, and various types of enzyme reaction mechanisms. The student said that she had a much better understanding on the material after the session. We can also use her online homework in order to make sure that the concepts make sense to her. We plan to meet next Wednesday in order to finish up enzyme inhibitors, and all other aspects of enzymes not yet understood.

Chemistry Tutoring review by Yang in Wheaton, IL
In this tutoring session, the student and I have discussed about the first lecture of her upcoming biochemistry exam. Basically, what we did during our tutoring session was to go over each of her lecture 1 slides one at a time. Topics that have been discussed include the 20 amino acids, hydrophobic effect, entropy, and protein primary/secondary/tertiary/quaternary structure. Since today was our first tutoring session, I did not see any scores to note progress. Also, the student seemed to struggle a bit with memorizing the 20 amino acids during today's tutoring session.
