I am a recent graduate of Cornell University with a Master's degree in Physics. I worked for three years as a teaching assistant in Introductory Physics courses, leading discussion and lab sections and helping students in office hours.
Before that, I majored in Physics at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I worked in the UMN Libraries for three years as a peer tutor in Physics, Math, Chemistry, and programming classes.
I'm passionate about teaching because I believe everyone should have access to education. I think anyone can succeed in their chosen subjects as long as they have motivation and support.
My favorite part of teaching is helping students get to that 'a-ha' moment when it all clicks. I want to help people see that physics isn't some arcane ritual, it's a straightforward application of basic principles.
My teaching philosophy is to show you the physical reasoning and mathematical methods in order to solve problems of any kind. I'll expect you to do the work of manipulating equations and calculating values, but I'll tell you the why and the how.

My main interest at the moment is quantum mechanics, especially the measurement problem and entanglement. Outside of physics, I enjoy studying philosophy and culture. I'm an avid gamer, and I'm learning C++ programming to be able to code my own games. I also enjoy exercising, yoga, and meditation.
