Daily Topics

Daily Topics

Each day, an expert instructor will lead campers through interactive activities, discussions, and Monopoly simulations as they master a new financial topic. Campers will develop their own Monopoly “house rules,” properties, cards, and strategies to put that newfound knowledge to use.

Monday: Economic Overview Campers will explore the mechanics of business, finance, and budgeting as they learn how their favorite Monopoly strategies apply to real-life business principles and get started making Monopoly “house rules” to simulate the economy around them.

Tuesday: Personal Finance Campers will learn all about budgeting, savings, income, and expenses as Monopoly becomes a metaphor for young adulthood: paying rent, saving for purchases, making their Pass-Go salary last an entire lap, and proposing “house rules” to improve their economic outcomes.

Wednesday: Entrepreneurship Campers will run properties businesses as the Monopoly dice take a backseat to pricing, marketing, and customer service strategies. New “house rules” will require campers to balance revenues and costs, acquire and retain customers, and respond to market forces as they learn what it takes to run a business.

Thursday: Consumer Savvy Campers will learn to think critically as consumers, as they explore the tools that businesses use to steer customers toward decisions, and then extend those tools to their own Monopoly properties as the simulation continues.

Friday: Investment & Finance Campers will explore the world of big business as “house rules” bring a stock market to the Monopoly board and players learn about investment, finance, and the power of compound interest.
