How can Biology tutoring help you?

Biology is a favorite subject of many students, as it deals with learning about some really fascinating topics, like genetics. There are some students who have a hard time with biology, though. It's not uncommon to ask for help while taking a science class, because it can get confusing quickly. If you are struggling with your biology course, Varsity Tutors can find you a tutor in Scottsdale, AZ, that you'll like working with and that could give you a leg up on your classmates.

Are you stuck studying a topic like cell theory over and over again because you just can't remember how it all works? A tutor can try to help you. How will they do that, exactly? They'll observe your personality, learning habits, and study pace to determine how to explain biology material in a way that will engage your mind and challenge you in a fun way. They will take your interests and incorporate them into your sessions, too. Your tutor could give you a reason to keep trucking through that difficult material so you'll build the confidence that might give you an edge on your class. One-on-one tutoring in Scottsdale can give you the ability to fine-tune your biology skills by asking questions and getting feedback efficiently. You don't need to worry about test anxiety anymore, because having a personal tutor could give you the confidence to walk in on test day with a firm grasp on the material.

Biology Tutoring review by Peter in Scottsdale, AZ
We covered optics. Specifically, we covered the pinhole camera, the speed of light in various media, the index of refraction, Snell's law, the critical angle and total internal reflection, concave and convex surfaces, converging and diverging lenses, converging and diverging mirrors, focal length, radius of curvature, how to draw a ray diagram to determine an image's location, whether it is real or virtual, whether it is upright or inverted, and its magnification, and the thin lens equation. Since we did the problems at the end of the optics chapter together, for extra practice I suggested the student do the optics problems in two of the practice tests at the end of his study guide. I also recommended to the student's mother that she purchase another study guide for more practice problems.

The student and I reviewed for his exam on Friday. We went over questions at the end of each chapter for his readings. We discussed possible topics that could be on the test and clarified some concepts from evolution and meiosis. He went to a review session immediately following our session. I think he is well prepared and will do fine on the exam.
