How can a tutor assist you in conquering Biology?

Biology is an often-required class to graduate high school, and many students elect to make it their major in college. It is an extremely broad topic, about everything involving living creatures. When students dive into evolution, they often get dates and stages of evolution mixed up. When they begin learning about cells and smaller organisms, it is easy to confuse the terminology. What's the difference between a prokaryote and eukaryote? What is an endoplasmic reticulum? Biology brings together parts of many different sciences to explain how living things function and why they exist. Unfortunately, many students focus on the minute details and are left stuck when it comes to big-picture questions that have been known to show up on difficult biology exams. Whether you struggle in the subject or simply wish to get a leg up, a tutor is the most effective option for you.

Finding the perfect tutor may be a pain, so thankfully Varsity Tutors is here to help. Our educational directors in Cleveland, OH, are talented at finding the best biology tutor for your individual needs. We do an initial survey of questions to get to know you and your needs. These questions are directed at determining your personality and the ways you learn best. From there, we are able to determine the best-fit tutor for you. If you learn best through tactile experiences, we may potentially help to make sure we find you a tutor who is skilled at using models to really drive a concept home. If you prefer more auditory methods of learning, we may find you a biology tutor from Cleveland who is skilled at using songs to memorize the parts of a cell or the phases of evolution. We may potentially help to make sure the tutor matches your personality, so you may have no personal conflicts getting in the way of your learning.

We started with a quick review of the three domains, their characteristics, and examples of organisms. Then, we delved into eukaryotes and started our second group: animalia. We began by learning about early embryonic development after fertilization. We discussed how the embryo forms a blastula and then a gastrula, which develops into the three tissue layers. After that, we began animal diversity. There are 9 phyla within animalia and we discussed Porifera, Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, and Mollusca. We learned distinguishing characteristics of each group and some examples.
