Anatomy Tutoring review by Samuel in Tacoma, WA
The student is much more comfortable with the material. He completed my (very hard) practice exam and we went over it. My problems were very complex and demand multiple paths to get to a solution. He did well on his own, but after we went over it I think he now has a much deeper working knowledge. We also went over some of his practice exam. We talked about some general strategy and what to expect on the exam. He now is asking questions that go beyond the depth the course is at, and this is a very good sign!

Anatomy Tutoring review by Martin in Tacoma, WA
This was my first meeting with the student. We were able to review the physics topics that he had covered in class so far. Currently he is working on drawing force diagrams, labeling all the forces at work on objects in different scenarios. We practiced several of these types of problems. Additionally, we reviewed representing forces on a coordinate system and separating forces into their x- and y-components. Finally, we looked at how one can determine the motion of an object by summing the forces separately along each of the axes and setting the sum equal to the mass times the acceleration. He was very attentive and was able to pick up the concepts after practicing a few times. He is a pleasure to work with.

I met with the student for our first session this afternoon. She has a test coming up on Wednesday. We began by discussing her general needs and what her comfort level with basic topics is. We discussed vectors, the right hand rule and how that related to a variety of problems. We then focused on the specific material in the upcoming test in order to set up a foundation of knowledge and create a study outline for the next few days. Finally, I recommended that she use a variety of tools and practice problems that use the concepts of the upcoming test in new configurations. We set up another session for Tuesday night since her test is on Wednesday.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Mustafa in Tacoma, WA
The student and I worked on his physics homework which dealt with forces at angles. He understood the concepts well and he finished the homework fairly quickly. We then moved on to the next section to get ahead. We went over tension and compression forces and did several problems involving static objects with tension and compression forces. Again, he picked up the material quickly.

The student worked on math homework that covered adding/ subtracting/ multiplying/ dividing two functions together as well as finding the domain for the sum/ difference/ product/ quotient of two functions. He also worked on vector addition problems, finding the components and direction of a vector whose two components are given and finding the x and y components of a given vector, using trig to solve for these components.
