Session Summaries by Anatomy Tutors

Anatomy Tutoring review by Marcello in Marietta, GA
During this time, the student and I worked on significant figures, some lab stuff, elements of the periodic table, and precision versus accuracy. It seemed to me that he is a very fast learner. I think he will be fine in the class. I suggested to him to memorize his significant figure rules as well as elements of the periodic table. I left him with some helpful study strategies and told him to continue practicing the problems he was assigned.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Michael in Marietta, GA
The student took his test today. We reviewed some of the material that was on that test, including orbitals and electron configurations. He demonstrated to me that he was much better equipped to handle those types of questions. Then we moved on to Lewis Dot Diagrams which were new to him. After doing some practice problems and reading some of the steps from my textbook, he seemed to have a pretty good handle on how to make these kinds of diagrams.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Kristyn in Marietta, GA
Today we reviewed for the students chemistry test on Thursday. We started the session with a review of converting numbers to and from scientific notation. We also covered density calculations from both graphical representations and the density formula. Next we worked with conversions using known equalities (i.e.. inches to meters, etc.). Lastly we talked about how to rearrange equations in order to solve for different variables. Overall, the student seems to have a pretty good handle on this chemistry unit.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Elizabeth in Marietta, GA
The student and I worked on review for her Chemistry quiz tomorrow. We went over electron configuration again because she didn't quite understand the orbital diagrams. We also talked about the shorthand notation for electron configuration because her teacher never went over it. Last, we covered some material on waves and the electromagnetic spectrum, which she was fairly comfortable with.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Cherub in Marietta, GA
We covered the genitourinary system of both the male and female reproductive system. We practiced for the student's upcoming exams using unlabeled models and diagrams. She did really well in her practice impromptu quizzes and was very confident in her answers. She seemed relaxed and comfortable and very confident, which was great because it really shined through her performance. It was a great session and I have every confidence that she will excel in her upcoming lab quiz.
