Algebra Tutoring review by Kathryn in Mountainview, CA
Today we completed the student's review for his Unit 7 test. This test/review has been moved several times secondary to the ice storm. He seems to have a basic grasp of the material. I feel he is very bright and capable. I have also asked that he begin to work on his final exam review so we can review that on Thursday.

Algebra Tutoring review by Adam in Mountainview, CA
During this session, after catching up on the French final, we focused on reviewing for the student's algebra final exam tomorrow. After reviewing practice problems for chapter 1 (most of which focused on reviewing the basic vocabulary, but also involved PEMDAS and notation), we reviewed equation set-up and conversion at her request, which she had had trouble with previously. As a final exercise for studying, I asked her to do one question from each section that would be on her exam and check her answers in the book and review sections she missed and could not determine. I will follow up on this semester when we start meeting again next semester. She has been a joy of a student and her family absolutely fantastic, so I am quite looking forward to January.

Algebra Tutoring review by Omar in Mountainview, CA
During my session with the student, we did a final review of the material we covered throughout the semester. This was my last session with him, and I wanted to make sure that he was well prepared. We solved problems related to linear equations, inequalities, and systems of equations. When he is focused, he is very good at solving the problems.

Algebra Tutoring review by Valerie in Mountainview, CA
We did our best to review the topic areas for the student's re-take. We compiled a sheet with all the formulas for him to study. To avoid having his teachers sign off on his planner, he has to have his planner filled for each day and class for the next couple weeks when school is in session.

Algebra Tutoring review by Esther in Mountainview, CA
The student just took an unit final exam on factoring so we did not have any homework/classwork to review. I introduced her to SAT math; Just the arithmetic and early algebra questions, and we worked through some problems together. She was actually able to identify shortcuts to answering questions. We also worked on a logic puzzle together, which she enjoyed.
